WHERE’S THE HOUSING
MARKET GOING?
Every expert has an opinion
of whether the market has bottomed
out or is still on the decline
or on the way up. All indications
are that it has pretty much
bottomed out—at least
in Florida. But it’s obvious
our area has a large inventory
of distressed homes that need
to be sold before solid values
can be re-established. Remaining
distressed sale homes are in
need of major refurbishing due
to neglect or vandalism. Few
are anywhere near “move-in
ready.” The fact of the
matter is that these homes are
establishing a false market
environment that is well below
